Kashid Diaries...

although a lot delayed... but here it is... an account of our bike trip to kashid.

it was actually alibaug-kashid-murud janjira road trip... we stayed at kashid. for those who are planning a trip this side of the country, here is what u need to know...
its 130 kms to kashid. we took a ferry from bhau cha dhakka which is near dockyard road, got down at revas and then biked it from there. on the way back we biked it the whole way.

a few pointers as well.. if you are not on a bullet, then i suggest you take a break every half hour... my spendor died down just as we reached vashi...

fish curry-rice is the best thing you can find on the menu... there is a fish market at murud from where you can pick up fresh stuff... we were staying at one the cottages which line kashid beach... the owner cooked quite a meal for us. staying at the budget cottages is recommended. also, plan for an overnite trip for sure... i had initially thot of a day trip to kashid and back, but realised that it would have been too tiring and would have left us with little time to explore the place.
